Angels We Have Heard On High

This beautiful song is presented with a lush romantic feeling, never straying too far from the melody we all know.

Auld Lang Syne

This year ending tradition is offered in a brief romantic version.

Away In a Manger / Silent Night

A rhapsody—a pairing of two classic Christmas melodies, presented simply at first, with a romantic flowing piano accompaniment.

Bring a Torch, Jeanette Isabella

A French folk song that I first heard as part of Robert Russell Bennett’s “The Many Mood of Christmas,” turned into a lively jazz waltz, again inspired by Stephane Grappelli.

A Christmas Rag

An original. A multi-sectioned piece, much like early rags and marches. Capturing the flow of Holiday feelings, the celebration of today, the remembrance of yesterdays gone by, and a look to tomorrow.

Fum Fum Fum

I first heard this song in a high school Spanish class. A favorite of mine, this Spanish folk song is lovely and onomatopoeic. My attempt was to create a virtuoso showpiece molded after the famous caprices of Paganini.

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen

A groovin’ tune that keeps building and swinging harder. Inspired by Stephane Grappelli.

I Wonder As I Wander

An Appalachian melody collected by John Jacob Niles. A mournful feeling is set by the piano and the mood is one of reflection. Cadential points are ambiguous as the piece moves forward, building, turning rhapsodic as the melody is spun around, fragmented and then released.

It Came Upon a Midnight Clear

A dramatic start by the violin introduces another South American influenced setting. Melodramatic climaxes and passion carry this one through.

Jingle Bells

This favorite holiday tune is transformed into a beautiful rhapsody to showcase the violin and piano.

O Come O Come Emmanuel

A slow swing feel sets up the plaintive violin melody. It begins gently, and slowly builds in intensity, while still staying low-key for much of it.

O Holy Night / Ave Maria

This powerful arrangement starts soft and simple before building into a powerful rhapsody, cleverly combining these two familiar melodies.

O Little Town Of Bethlehem

From Bethlehem to Argentina. The inspiration for this arrangement came from hearing so many of Carlos Gardel’s tango masterpieces. Passion. Rhythm.Smooth and lyrical, this Latinesque setting presents this famous melody in a rhythmically delightful manner.

O Tannenbaum

Also known as "O Christmas Tree," this is an all-time holiday favorite, set here with a happy bouncy swing feeling.

We Three Kings

This age old song is transformed into something completely new, with a little help from Beethoven. Fitting this famous melody to the even more famous Moonlight Sonata of Beethoven was fun. There are many crescendos, soaring violin melodies, overlapping themes and passionate climaxes.

What Child Is This?

A slow bossa-like feeling—the waves slowly coming to shore in Rio in this minor modal journey.
